Trailmaster Super Slim

Built for riders who want less between themselves and their horse.

The Trailmaster Super Slim is our minimalist bareback pad, designed for riders who prefer a close-contact feel without the additional contoured seat padding found in our other Trailmaster models.

The Super Slim maintains the same overall shape as the Ranger and is available with the same wither relief and rigging options. Like the Ranger, this bareback pad is 19" long and has a 17" drop from the base of the withers down to the rigging. Its streamlined construction keeps the rider closer to the horse while still providing the practicality needed for serious trail riding. 

D-rings provide attachment points for trail bags and other riding necessities, as well as the option of attaching a breast collar when needed.

Choosing the Right Wither Relief

It is important to choose a wither relief that is high enough to prevent excessive pressure on your horse’s withers. Some horses are more sensitive to pressure in this area than others. When in doubt, it is better to have a little more wither relief than not enough.

We also offer Adjustable Wither Relief, which allows you to customize the amount of relief for your horse. If you choose this option, please watch the instructional video and make sure you understand how it should be installed and adjusted. Proper placement is important. If it is installed incorrectly, it could create a pressure point that may be uncomfortable for your horse.

The Super Slim is not designed for use with our stirrup package. If you want to ride with stirrups, please choose one of our Soft Saddle models.

Built for the minimalist rider, the Super Slim keeps things simple: close contact, useful trail-riding features, and less bulk between you and your horse.

Choosing Your Leather

The Super Slim is made in one leather color of your choice and does not use our Color Panel designs. Please review our Leather Colors and Design page before ordering.

When placing your order, use the order notes to give us the exact leather color name you would like for your Super Slim.

Optional Handle

The handle is an optional add-on and is not included with your bareback pad or Soft Saddle. If you would like a handle installed, please add the Handle to your cart from the Accessories section when placing your order.
